Education & Development project - Africa/Ethiopia.
Schools are under resourced and volunteers are greatly needed to help make an impact on the lives of vulnerable children in North Ethiopia. Most of the children are vulunerable and have been abandoned. A solid education is needed to support these children and help break the poverty cycle to give them a better life. Volunteers will teach at primary (elementary) levels in areas of math, science, history, English, geography, art and music.
Minimum: 1 week
Location: Ethiopia
Lodging/Meals: Volunteer Hostel; 2 Meals per day included (Breakfast & Dinner)
Helping Refugee Affected by Conflict
Volunteer can come to Ethiopia to support :
Drought is one of two plagues that challenge Africa’s oldest independent country, leaving an estimated 7.9 million people in need of food assistance for their survival. Ethiopia’s second challenge stems from a large and growing refugee population that has been forced to flee armed conflict in neighboring countries, including Somalia and South Sudan.
Our partner peace 1st Ethiopia- a civic society organization asked to provide help on these crises, including primary healthcare, mental health care and psychosocial support, food and nutrition, safe drinking water and hygiene assistance.
